Howdy! I'm Ryan Layman
I am a problem-solving UI designer skilled at listening to and empathizing with people to craft digital spaces that are engaging and inclusive.
WHy user design?
My background in hospitality has helped me master the art of curating environments rich in comfort and sentiment that bring people back, time and time again.
My undergraduate work earning a double BFA in sculpture and photography honed my natural talent to build visual designs that excite viewers and elicit deep emotional responses.
I bring these valuable tools- along with strong communication, punctuality and organization- to the field of UI design. Working in the digital design realm inspires me to create moods, interact with user psychology and build highly successful products. My ambition is to bring all of my current assets, as well as those I learn along the way, to my new career as a trustworthy and successful UI designer.
what about outside of work?
Outside of my design work, I am deeply passionate about music and study guitar in my free time. I keep my mind and body in shape with cycling and daily meditations. I am an amateur home mycologist, fascinated by all things mycelial!
